The Pennsylvania College of Technology School of Business, Arts & Sciences recently held an Active Thinking & Learning Math Professional Day for full-time and adjunct math faculty. Local high school math teachers also were in attendance for the workshop, which was led by Trey Cox, a veteran mathematics educator with 39 years of teaching experience spanning middle school, high school and college in Illinois and Arizona.
Pennsylvania College of Technology has appointed Chenchen Huang dean of the School of Business, Arts & Sciences. Huang, who has more than 15 years’ experience in higher education, comes to Penn College from Frostburg State University, where he was an assistant professor and chairperson of the accounting department.
Two Pennsylvania College of Technology faculty presented at the 33rd Annual Meeting of the World History Association, held recently in San Francisco. Recognized as a major conference in the world history field, the event hosts scholars from across the globe. Craig A. Miller, professor of history/political science and department head of social sciences and humanities, and Jennifer R. Wahl, instructor of social sciences, led the workshop session: “The Politics of Teaching World History to Non-History Majors."
Ten students and two chaperones from Northern Ireland’s North West Regional College spent the first full day of their Williamsport stay in the company of local hosts who made them feel instantly at home.
